Honoring Our
Veterans Experiencing Homelessness
The Tacoma Rescue Mission provides designated shelter space and specially trained staff to support every veteran experiencing homelessness staying with us.
Additionally, we have a thriving partnership with the local Veterans Affairs office. Together we offer specialized counseling and case management, housing and employment services, and much needed referrals to outside resources.
Helping our veterans thrive
Through our partnership with the U.S. Veterans Affairs Administration of American Lake and Seattle, our clients are connected with a licensed social worker. Each veteran staying with us receives mental health counseling, case management, housing and employment services, and much needed referrals to outside resources.
We are committed to seeing veterans experiencing homelessness go from merely surviving to thriving. By engaging in community conversations as members of the VA Stakeholders Committee and Operation Comfort Warriors: Heroes to Home Towns, we can continue to improve the resources for the veterans staying with us.
We are proud to partner with the Puget Sound Veteran’s Hope Center. You can find out more about the Hope Center HERE.
